Dear customers!
On this page you’ll find a collection of frequently asked questions and answers about Izzie’s. More questions and answers will get added with time, as I receive them. If you have a question that is not answered here, please contact Izzie Button inworld and I’ll gladly try to help.
How do I get a redelivery?
Please send an IM or notecard with the name(s) of the item(s) you’d like to get redelivered to Izzie Button and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. If you’d like many items redelivered at once, you can also send me a screenshot of the items in your inventory, if that is easier for you. If you lost the items and can’t remember their names, I’ll gladly check my saved transactions for you. If you purchased the item(s) on Marketplace, there is an option to redeliver by yourself (My Marketplace – My Account – Order History – find the item on the list and click Redeliver item or click on your purchase date on the item page).
Are your Evo X remakes free updates?
Evo X remakes are generally treated as new separate releases, not free updates, since I have to re-draw everything from scratch for the Evo X custom UV. However almost all remakes are either 50% discounted in the first release week or available for a sales event (like Fifty Linden Fridays).
The only exception is full face & body sets, those are free updates, since it would not make sense to take them out of the full set and make them a separate release and updates of gifts of course.
These items are free Evo X updates:
If you purchased any of the items listed above and missed the free update, please send and IM or notecard with the name(s) of the item(s) to Izzie Button and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. If you purchased the item(s) on Marketplace, there is an option to redeliver by yourself (My Marketplace – My Account – Order History – find the item on the list and click Redeliver item).
I received a redelivery from MP that I didn’t do myself, is this a scam?
If you received a redelivery from MP that you didn’t do yourself – don’t panic! It’s the new bulk redelivery feature.
Creators can easily redeliver updated items now with one click to everyone who previously purchased the item on MP. Unfortunately it is not possible for us to send a message along with the redelivery, so my recent updates caused some worries and confusion.
So if you receive a MP redelivery from me in the future (or received one in the past), it’s all good, it is me sending you an updated version of a set you bought.

How do I get a refund?
Please send an IM or notecard to Izzie Button and I gladly pay you a refund for your double purchase. If you are unhappy with the item you purchased or bought the wrong item, please contact me and we’ll figure something out. Please always try a free demo and read the item description carefully before purchasing to make sure the item will work for you! Not everything will work on every head/body or skin.
Do you take suggestions or do you accept custom work?
I’m always happy to hear your suggestions for future releases. I can’t make any promises, but I collect and write down each suggestion and consider giving it a try if I think I can do it/if it is possible to do or if I’m comfortable with it. Please send me your suggestion in an IM or notecard to make sure I’ll see it or fill this form.
Sometimes I also accept custom work, when I have time and if it’s small things/small changes on existing items (recolors etc…), so it always depends on the kind of custom work. Just leave me a message on what kind of custom work you would like me to do for you and I’ll get back to you. If I say no, I still might consider your suggestion for a future release, so please let me know if there’s anything you’d like me to do.
How do I stay up to date with Izzie’s new releases?
You can follow me on Flickr, Izzie’s Blog or join either Izzie’s VIP group or subscribe-o-matic Update group at Izzie’s mainstore. I post all new releases there.
What is the difference between the VIP and the Update group?
The VIP group is an inworld group, where I post new releases. With the worn VIP group tag, you can get current and former VIP group gifts at Izzie’s mainstore. You’ll find the current gift at the reception desk near the entrance of the store, as well as a teleporter to the former gifts. The group joining fee is L$ 250 and you need a free group slot to join.
The Update Group is a subscriber group, so you don’t need a free group slot and joining is free. I post all new releases there as well.
How do I find a certain item at your store?
All areas of Izzie’s store are labeled, but sometimes it can still be a challenge to find a certain item in the big store just by looking around. Let’s say you are looking for hairbases, but can’t find them, you can try the teleport board near the new releases area of Izzie’s mainstore. Find “hairbases” on the board and left- click to teleport to that area of the store.
If you are using Firestorm viewer, it is also possible to find an item using area search. You could also try finding an item on Izzie’s Marketplace by typing the name of the item in search.
If you still can’t find the item you are looking for, please contact Izzie Button and I’ll gladly help you find it.
Do you accept bloggers?
You’ll find all infos for bloggers here.
What are you wearing on your vendor pics?
Almost every item and demo you buy from Izzie’s comes with a “How To Use & Credits” notecard (the exception is very old items or items where there is only 1 body part shown on the pic). You will also often find what I’m wearing in the description of my Flickr pics. If you can’t find any credits, please contact Izzie Button inworld and I’ll try to help you out.
You have so many fixes, is there an easier way to find them without having to contact you?
Please have a look at my Directory of Izzie’s Fixes / Correctors. It’s a spreadsheet of all Izzie’s fixes sorted from head to toe, color coded, with short description what it does and MP links.
What is BOM/BakesOnMesh?
You’ll find many infos about BOM here.
How do I activate/deactivate BOM?
- To activate BOM for your head/body, find the Bakes On Mesh button on your mesh head/body Hud and click it (Catwa, LeLutka, Genus, Maitreya…have a Bakes On Mesh or BOM button on their Huds. If you are wearing LAQ or Belleza, you can grab a free BOM activator Hud at their stores. Slink Redux is ready for BOM out of the box.).
- Take all your alpha layers off and tadaaa – your head/body is BOM activated and the system skin you are wearing will show on your mesh head/body!
- If your avatar turns red or invisible, it means you are still wearing an alpha layer – check your wearing tab and take all alpha layers off (usually named head alpha, body alpha):
- Keep in mind that if you are wearing a system skin that has not been made for your mesh head/body the result might not look great
- If you are wearing applier eyes, check your head folder for an alpha layer that hides the system eyes and wear it (example LeLutka Evolution: Alpha.Mask (BOM Head/Body, APPLIER Eyes)):
- if you are wearing BOM eyes, take your eyes alpha layer off or your eyes will be invisible (or red):
- If you want to switch back to applier mode, either click the Bakes On Mesh button on your mesh head/body again or click any head/body skin applier. Then put your head and body alpha layers back on or your system avatar will poke through your mesh:
Skell Dagger (Virtual Bloke) wrote a great and much more detailed tutorial on how to activate BOM on your mesh head and body here.
Is there a difference between BOM and system layers?
BOM, BakesOnMesh and system layers is the same thing. Before mesh times we used to call them system layers. Now we call system layers Bakes on Mesh, since they get “baked” onto the skin layer of our mesh body parts. And – because we are lazy humans – we call them BOM layers now (which is short for Bakes on Mesh).
Can I tint BOM layers?
If the BOM layer has modify permissions, it is possible to tint it. Right – click “edit” the tattoo layer in your inventory and click the color/tint window. A color picker window will open. With the slider on the very right you can change the darkness of the layer and by clicking into the rainbow colored window you can change the color. Keep in mind that you can only tint something darker, not lighter. Almost all of Izzie’s BOM layers are tintable.
Can I change the opacity of BOM layers?
Sadly it is not possible to blend/change opacity/intensity of BOM layers. Most of Izzie’s BOM makeup comes in different opacity levels, especially the makeup created in the past 2 years. To find out, if Izzie’s makeup comes with different opacity levels, try a free demo or read the description on the vendor pic carefully, I always mention it on my ads.
Will you make BOM lashes or nails?
Lashes and nails can’t be BOM, since they don’t follow the system avatar UV. You’ll still need appliers for them.
My skin is an applier skin. Can i use your BOM makeup on my skin?
Sadly you can’t apply BOM makeup over an applier skin. BOM makeup only shows when you are wearing a BOM skin. On an applier skin only applier makeup will work. On a BOM skin, BOM makeup and also applier makeup will work.
My skin is a BOM skin. Can i use your applier makeup on my skin?
Yes, that is possible, but only if your head has been set up for the use of BOM mixed with appliers. Catwa older heads (like Catya), LeLutka Origins, Genus and LAQ allow applier makeup on top of BOM skins without limitations. LeLutka Evolution heads only accept custom HD appliers for eyeshadows, lipstick and brows. Older LeLutka appliers (made for Origins line) no longer work on the Evolution line. Catwa HDPRO heads removed their hairbase, blush, and neck layers, so only lipstick and eye makeup appliers OR eyebrow appliers will work.
Can you convert your HD appliers to BOM?
HD makeup can’t be converted to BOM (or vice versa), since HD uses a custom UV, different from the BOM UV.
Here is a comparison pic of the HD lipstick UV of LeLutka Evolution heads and the standard system avatar UV used for BOM makeup and skins. You can see that not only the shape of the lips is different, the HD UV takes up a lot more space on the texture, which is the reason why HD makeup is a lot more detailed:
This is what happens if I would use the HD lipstick texture to create a BOM layer and why it is not possible to convert HD to BOM:
Of course I could try to size down the HD lipstick texture and put it where the standard lips are located on the UV texture, then it would look like this:
So the only thing I can do is to create a new and similar lipstick texture for BOM from scratch, but I can never convert the original HD texture to BOM.
I own older LeLutka makeup appliers from you, but they no longer work on my new Evolution head?
Older makeup appliers made for the LeLutka Origins line will no longer work on the new Evolution heads. Evolution heads only accept BOM layers and custom HD appliers for eyeshadows, lipstick and brows. You could try the BOM layers included with my older LeLutka appliers, but there is no guarantee that it will look correctly, since Evolution heads are different from Origins heads. Please also check out the LeLutka FAQ page.
How do I know which appliers/BOM layers will work on my LeLutka head and how do I know which line my LeLutka head belongs to?
LeLutka has released 2 lines of heads so far: LeLutka Origins and LeLutka Evolution. The newest heads of the Evolution line come with a new feature called Evolution Xtreme or Evo X. Each line has its own logo assigned, so you can tell by the logo used on the vendor ads, for which head the product was created for:
Edit: All LeLutka Evolution Heads (Erin, Nova, Skyler etc…) have been updated to include the Evo X feature now!
Each line uses its own applier system, so older makeup appliers made for the LeLutka Origins line will no longer work on the new Evolution heads. BOM layers made for Origins heads may work on Evolution Classic, but there is no guarantee that it will look correctly. BOM layers made for Evolution Classic or Origins will not work on Evo X and vice versa, since Evo X uses a custom BOM UV that is not compatible with any other heads, however the custom Evolution HD appliers for eyeshadows, lipstick and brows will work on both Evolution Classic and Evo X.
I know that sounds complicated. To simplify, here is a little sheet that tells you which applier/BOM layer will work on which head line:
Even if the spreadsheet says YES, there is never a guarantee that an item will look good on your head, so the most important thing to keep in mind is: Always try a free demo before purchasing anything! If the demo doesn’t work for you, the full product won’t work either. Read the description on the vendor ads carefully, also check for the head logos used on the vendors and if you have any doubts, please contact me inworld with any question you may have, I’ll gladly help.
Please also check out the LeLutka FAQ page.
Why is my BOM makeup applying to the forehead of my LeLutka head (or any other spot where it doesn’t belong)?
This happens when you are wearing BOM makeup that wasn’t made for your active head mode.
When you click the head symbol on your LeLutka Hud, you’ll find 2 modes to choose from: Classic or Evo X.
Classic Mode uses the regular BOM UV, Evo X uses a custom BOM UV that is not compatible with any other heads. Here you can see the difference between those 2 UVs:
As you can see Evo Classic and Evo X are 2 completely different things. BOM skins/makeup made for Evo Classic or the regular BOM UV will not work in Evo X mode and skins/makeup made for Evo X will not work in Evo Classic mode. It will show up on the wrong spots. When you look at the image above, look at the lips area on the Evo Classic UV and imagine you drag those lips to the right, to the Evo X UV. Those lips will land on the forehead. The same happens when you are wearing regular BOM lipstick in Evo X mode, the lipstick will apply to the forehead and not on your lips.
So always make sure to wear Evo X BOM skins/makeup in Evo X mode and regular BOM skins/makeup in Evo Classic mode. Always try a free demo before purchasing anything! If the demo doesn’t work for you, the full product won’t work either. Read the description on the vendor ads carefully, also check for the head logos used on the vendors. If an item works on Evo X there will be an Evo X logo and it will say so in the description and often in the name too. If there is nowhere “Evo X” to see on the vendor (for example it only says “Evolution” and has the Evolution logo on it) the item will not work in Evo X mode! If you have any doubts, please contact me inworld with any question you may have, I’ll gladly help.
When I try to apply makeup to my Genus head, the makeup looks black. What can I do?
The makeup area might have been tinted to black before. Try tinting the area back to white in the Layers Control Tab of your Genus Hud.
When I try to apply makeup to my Catwa head, nothing changes. What can I do?
Check the blend slider in the makeup sections on your Catwa Hud. The makeup will only show, if the blend slider is dragged to the far left.
Will your appliers/BOM layers work on my male avatar?
Even though Izzie’s appliers/BOM layers were made for female avatars, many of them work on male avatars as well, like scars, body dirt, freckles etc…But please try a free demo before purchasing to make sure they will work for you.
